PetroSkill Virtual Learning Launches 2026 University Outreach to Bridge Academia and Industry

PetroSkill Virtual Learning (PVL) is taking its industry-focused learning initiatives to universities across Ghana this March, bringing students closer to the practical skills, technologies, and career opportunities shaping the oil and gas industry.

PetroSkill Virtual Learning (PVL) is embarking on its 2026 University Outreach in March, engaging students across selected universities in Ghana to strengthen the connection between academic learning and industry practice in the oil and gas sector. The initiative reflects PVL's commitment to equipping students with practical, industry-relevant knowledge and introducing them to the technical competencies and professional opportunities available within the energy industry. Universities on the Outreach Tour The outreach will visit four institutions: - 18 March: University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa - 23 March: University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani - 24 March: Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) - 25 March: Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) What Students Can Expect Through interactive sessions and technical demonstrations, students will have the opportunity to experience reservoir simulation software, gain insights into reservoir engineering, drilling, and production facilities, explore PVL's specialized industry-focused training programmes, and learn about career pathways within the oil and gas industry. The outreach aims to inspire students to look beyond classroom theory and embrace practical learning opportunities that prepare them for the demands of the energy sector. Building the Future of Energy By engaging directly with universities, PVL seeks to promote technical capacity development, encourage industry awareness, and support the preparation of future energy professionals. The 2026 Outreach represents another step in PVL's mission to bridge the gap between academia and industry while contributing to the development of skilled, competent, and industry-ready talent.
